Bio:
I have just completed a PhD in applied linguistics and have been working alongside my studies as a professional proofreader since 2011, and as an editorial assistant for the Journal of Politeness Research since 2017.
I am passionate about academic skills communication (e.g. formatting, referencing, structure) and have always sought to integrate this into my teaching when working as a lecturer. Please see my blog for tips and tricks I have gathered over the years, and please feel free to suggest new topics I should write on lizmarsden.wordpress.com. Also, please see my dedicated academic advice page.
In my free time, I enjoy getting out into nature; playing board games; watching, reading and listening to sci-fi, fantasy, comedy and popular science TV shows/books/podcasts; and working on arty crafty projects.
Please see my LinkedIn profile for more information: http://uk.linkedin.com/in/elizabethmarsden
